My Story

My Journey to Health and Wellness Coaching

I was blessed to grow up in the shadow of the Grand Tetons in Jackson, Wyoming, where I learned to value and appreciate the great outdoors, family and hard work. For the past 32 years, Idaho has been home to my family. I am married, have two sons who have made their own way in life, and am grateful for seven grandchildren. During those same 32 years, I have worked in the dental profession, helping people improve their dental health—and, yes, coaching them about flossing! My interest in health, however, is also deeply personal. I have struggled with my weight since I began the diet roller coaster in seventh grade. Over the years, I have tried Weight Watchers, Atkins, South Beach, low-fat diets, Paleo, Whole30, fasting protocols, and even GLP-1 medications. I have also experienced IBS and autoimmune issues, and I am married to a person with type 1 diabetes. Together, these experiences have given me a front-row seat to many health challenges and inspired my love of learning and my desire to find natural ways to help manage them. I have also learned that food is not only a source of physical nourishment; it can be a source of emotional comfort. I understand that connection because, like so many people, I have struggled with emotional eating throughout my life.

I have a passion for health and wellness coaching because I have been there. I believe life is about helping others along the way, and I want to use my experience to do just that. There is no single answer to the many health challenges people face, and what works for one person may not be best for someone else. Through coaching, I meet clients where they are on their journey. Together, we discover their strengths, overcome obstacles, and create meaningful, lasting change.
